Jill Althouse-Wood is a writer and artist whose first novel SUMMERS AT BLUE LAKE reached bookshelves in August, 2007.
Jill holds a BFA in Fine Arts from the University of Delaware. Before quitting her job to write and paint full-time, she worked for fifteen years as a fabric designer. She began writing as a way to express herself creatively in balance with her day job and raising a family.
These days Jill writes in the morning and paints in the afternoon. She will have her first solo exhibition of paintings in the fall of 2007. Jill combines her love of the visual and the verbal in workshops she facilitates on creative journaling. Jill lives in Reinholds, PA, with her husband, two children, and a black pug dog who rests at her feet while she writes.
