Eileen Talanian has being baking since she was five years old.  Her lifelong passion for baking led her to start a European-style mail order and wholesale cookie company called An American Kitchen.  She headed the award-winning and nationally acclaimed company for more than 10 years, then sold it so she could spend time with her two children and husband.  
 
Her passion for baking has not diminished as she is currently working on her second cookbook.  Her first cookbook, Chewy Cookies: America’s Comfort Food, has been completely revised and updated—-it includes step-by-step directions and recipes from an award-winning baker!
