    Bonnie Dorsey
 


Bonnie Dorsey is currently an adjunct instructor of English at Harrisburg Area Community College, Lancaster campus. In addition to teaching, she has been a journalist, an editor and a freelance writer.  In 1994-95, she taught English at the University of Sousse, Tunisia, North Africa, as a member of the US Peace Corps.
 
Bonnie has been a featured reader at area poetry readings and has presented poetry workshops for both students and adults. Her major publication credits and bylines are found under newspaper and magazine articles and feature stories.  She has received awards for writing, including first place for editorial writing, weekly newspaper category, in the annual Pennsylvania Keystone Press Award competition.  Bonnie has attended seminars and workshops led by poets familiar to poetry enthusiasts, including Carolyn Forché, Alan Ginsberg, Galway Kinnell, Sharon Olds, and Robert Pinsky. She has a B.S. in secondary education, English major, and an M.A. in English.
