    Barbara Robinson

Barbara Robinson was born in Portsmouth, Ohio.  She earned a BA degree in theatre from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA.  Her alma mater later presented her with an honorary degree of Doctor of Literature.  Barbara is the author of the children’s classic THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER and its acclaimed companion books, THE BEST SCHOOL YEAR EVER and THE BEST HALLOWEEN EVER. She also scripted the stage adaptation of THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER, one of the most frequently performed plays in the US, Canada, and Germany – with 363 productions in 2006 alone.  A film version of THE BEST CHRISTMAS  
PAGEANT EVER, also written by Barbara Robinson, was originally shown on ABC. Winner of multiple state Children’s Choice Book Awards for her work,  Barbara lists the following prizes for THE BEST SCHOOL YEAR EVER: Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois, Iowa, Arkansas, Nebraska, South Caro-
lina, Tennessee, Georgia, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania. A frequent guest author at schools and children’s literature festivals, Barbara has recently visited Greenville, Wichita, Grand Rapids, Fort Wayne, Cincinnati, Seattle, Dallas, Atlanta, and Denver.
